Mortimer pulled Flora close to him and looked into her sorrowful eyes. He felt a warm glow in his chest; a warm glow that he called love.
"I miss my family." Flora said, crying softly. She looked hopefully into his eyes, as if asking him to tell he he loved her. He did nothing but smile gently at her.
"You'll always love me right?" Flora said tearfully.
"Of course." Mortimer whispered back.
Flora smiled at her lover in relief and she kissed him in joy. He pulled her up more onto his abdomen, wrapping his arms around her waist and she wrapped her arms around his neck.
Always, and forever. , Mortimer thought as he tasted the sweet skin on her neck in between soft kisses.
